P.E.T WATER ROCKET WORKSHOP

Course Information

The participants will be taught the parts of the rocket and how a rocket functions. In groups of 3, they will build a rocket out of recycled materials and some other resources provided. In this workshop, they will also learn how air and water pressures can create a thrust which is enough for a rocket to take off. With the launchers set up, they will fill their rockets up with water and get ready for blast off. They will experiment on the rocket they have built and observe the distance the rocket sets off.

**Rockets will be returned to us at the end**

  1. Introductory flight principles of a rocket
  2. Understanding about space and rockets
  3. Learn about the life of an astronaut
  4. Trajectory flight path of rockets
  5. Water and air pressures, rockets thrust
ENGINEERING

Participants will be fix up their water rockets from scratch as a team. They will then observe how their rockets perform, varying according to the amount of water they fill into their rockets.

ROCKET science

Participants of this workshop will learn physics concepts like four forces of flight, how rockets work, and air pressure exerted that cause the water rockets to blast off from the launchers.

STEM ELEMENTS

Your course is awesome! I learnt how to make a water rocket out of recycled materials. I love it when the rocket blasts off into the sky and water splashing out of it. It was very fun.
